Corrie Ten Boom

A Jewish Woman's Story During the Holocaust

"Faith sees the invisible, believes the unbelieveable, and recieves the impossible." -Corrie Ten Boom.

For The first March post I'm going to share with you two very inspiring books about a Jewish woman who lived through the holocaust and afterwards traveled around the world telling her story and inspiring missions of people.

"There are no if's in God's world. And no places that are safer than other places. The center of His will is our only safety." -Corrie Ten Boom.

Corrie Ten Boom was a Dutch watchmaker who became a heroine of the Resistance, a survivor of Hitler's concentration camps, and one of the most remarkable evangelists of the twentieth century. In World War II she and her family risked their lives to help Jews and the underground workers escape the Nazis, and for thier work they were tested in the infamous Nazi death camps. Only Corrie among her family survived to tell the story of how faith ultimately triumphs over evil.

Here is the riveting account of how Corrie and her family were able to save many of God's chosen people. For years, millions of people have seen that there is no pit so deep that God's love is not deeper still.

"Jesus did not promise to change the circumstances around us. He promised great peace and pure joy to those who would learn to believe that God actually controls all things." -Corrie Ten Boom

Here below I have another book about Corrie by Janet and Geoff Benge, writers of the series of books called Christian Heroes Then & Now. This book is more geared to middle school students, because it isn't as "harsh" but it still tells her gripping story in detail.
